Taking a Break for Education
It has been a bit since I have posted and I don't want to leave anyone hanging. I am sharing what I believe is exciting news!

It has been over a month since I posted anything and I wanted to share what is going on and why I have not posted. In a recent post, I explained that my reasoning behind wanting to learn about Christian apologetics has evolved in that it has become my belief that we should learn more about the evidence that underlies our faith primarily for the purpose of knowing God better. In scripture we are told several times that he has revealed himself in creation, and if our relationship with him is going to be deeper, we need to seek to know him in every way that we can. This is based upon the scriptural analogy of a marriage to our relationship with God.
As a result of that, I believe that God was leading me to obtain a little bit of semi-formal education. For the last several weeks I have been working towards receiving my certificate in Christian apologetics through Biola University. This study is a bit more intensive than I really gave it credit for when I signed up. So far, it has been well worth it. At the same time, I have retired from teaching teenagers in Sunday School so that I can give a little more time and energy to what God wants to teach me during this time. The last month or so, I have gone to church and to Bible study class, and for the most part, just listened to others speak. It has been fantastic. It has always been my belief that we can learn from everyone and should make an effort to do so.
I appreciate those who have been added to the contact list on this web site, and hope that what I am writing and sharing has been helpful to you. Please share this site with others if you think it is worthwhile. If you don't think so, please share that with me. It is my desire that everything on this site be used to build up the body of Christ so that we can be equipped to do the good works that he set out for us. Last night, I spent two hours listening and being tested on the issue of the existence of evil in the world. This is the most difficult issue in the area of apologetics because it probably causes more doubt than anything else in the world. While listening to this, I believe God shared some insights with me that I have never come close to considering. However, that is for a future writing.
Thanks for your interest in this project. Please pray for me as I work to become a better Christ follower and teacher. Most importantly for me, please pray that I stay out of the way of God as he teaches us all more about who he is and how he wants to use each of us in this screwed up world that we are in.
